For a variety of reasons, some people need or want seat belt extenders. A search at most auto parts or specialty stores, as well as through catalogs and online, usually comes up empty.

The best place to locate them is the parts department at the local dealership for your auto manufacturer. However, many manufacturers do not offer seat belt extenders because they cannot vouch for the performance of a seat belt extender in a crash.
