Lodging

The Little Nell hotel in Aspen has undergone a major facelift. Built in 1989, with that mountain lodge look so popular in the Rockies, it has been updated to lighter-toned leathers, slate and terracotta to bring it into the 21st century. And if you haven't stayed at the luxury ski-in ski-out lodge, think about splurging on a night next time you're in town. Be sure to have breakfast on the balcony overlooking Aspen Mountain. 888-843-6355.

Despite construction in Glenwood Canyon this summer, Glenwood Canyon Resort will be open for business. Park your RV, set up a campsite or rent one of 11 cabins (each cabin sleeps six) right on the Colorado River. They offer whitewater rafting or you can bring your own kayak, bike or fishing gear to round out your activities. 800-958-6737.
