Old Town Museum

Colorado has 28 GEMs and a different one will be featured in each issue.
Located in Burlington on the eastern plains, Old Town Museum is a collection of 21 original and re-created buildings from the early 1900s, plus a museum with exhibits including vintage cars, farm machinery and clothing.
The historic buildings include a schoolhouse, church, sod house, windmill, grocery store, jail, saloon, drugstore, soda fountain and blacksmith shop. They are furnished with authentic artifacts of the period.
Digital audio stations at 36 locations around Old Town provide historic information, and cancan dancers perform in the saloon during the summer.
Old Town is open Monday through Saturday 9-5, and on Sunday from noon-5. Allow one hour minimum.
