Denver Arts Week

From Oct. 5-12 this year, the first Denver Arts Week aims to encourage locals and visitors to explore the city's arts and cultural community.

A wide variety of special events, entertainment, discounts, giveaways and more will be on offer around the metro area. Participants can win airline tickets and other prizes. A small sampling of events:

  • Denver Center Theatre Company will be offering a 20% discount on tickets to the drama Third or the comedy You Can't Take It With You.

  • The Wildlife Experience has discounted museum admission along with two days of presentations on "green" themes.

  • The seven GALA Chorus groups of the Front Range will present a joint concert with 15-minute sets from each vocal group.

  • "Third Class Bash" at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science's Titanic exhibit brings together history, live Celtic rock from The Indulgers, and food and drink in a party atmosphere for ages 21 and over.

  • EDGE Gallery presents "ArtLuck," a combination artists' slide show and potluck evening.

  • Denver Botanic Gardens features 56 monolithic stone sculptures, drum and dance groups, and reduced admission prices.

  • The Great Western Art Gallery will have art demonstrations, a silent auction for charity and music from the Max Wagner Trio.
