Kids in cars: old photos needed

The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety is seeking photos of child passengers from the 1940s through 1960s. The photos will be used for a national event commemorating the 30th anniversary of the nation's first child passenger safety law, and to gauge advancements since then.

Photos should show child passengers in positions now considered dangerous—lying in the back windows of cars, riding in the back of pickups or on running boards, unrestrained babies, you name it.

Submissions can be mailed to Allison Soule, AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, 607 14th Street NW, Suite 201, Washington D.C., 20005, or emailed to asoule@aaafoundation.org (5MB limit). Contributors will be contacted for permission to use selected photos.
