Denver's new Oceanaire Seafood Room is just about a block from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, which makes it a perfect place to dine before going to a show. The menu offers a filling three-course dinner for $30, quite a deal at this elegant establishment. And the service is impeccable. 303-991-2277.

You'll dine with a big smile on your face at Laughing Ladies in Salida. The hometown restaurant offers extraordinary food at modest prices. Sample the appetizers (especially the house-smoked salmon slice on top of dressed greens atop scallion pancakes with a creamy dressing). They also do Sunday brunch. 719-539-6209.
