Extra perks on travel bookings

TRAVEL- Booking a vacation through AAA's travel agency can help even the most seasoned traveler to get the most for his or her money. How? Many companies—including Disney, numerous cruise lines and tour providers—offer incentives to AAA members who book through AAA. These incentives are not advertised elsewhere and are not available to members who make their own bookings.

Depending on the vacation, a whole range of incentives may be available. They often come in the form of additional savings on the purchase of trips, free room upgrades, or vouchers for free or discounted activities at the destination. One European vacation package recently offered a free international cell phone with call time, to keep in touch with home while traveling.

In another example, members who go through AAA to book a package at a Disney theme park can often receive free parking, keepsakes, preferred seating at selected attractions or early admission before the park opens to the general public.

Benefits on cruise lines often include shipboard room credits, vouchers for sightseeing activities or even spa treatments.

"Members often don't realize that they can receive these extra perks by booking travel through us," says Sandra Barnes, Director of Travel at AAA Colorado. "These extra details can turn a good vacation into an unforgettable one."
