Denver culture for free

On selected days throughout the year, Colorado residents get free admission at institutions that belong to the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District in Denver.

Upcoming free days in May and June:

• Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield in Littleton (not the downtown Denver location), on May 2 and June 6. 303-973-3705, www.botanicgardens.org.
• Denver Museum of Nature and Science, on May 3 and June 25. 303-322-7009, www.dmns.org.
• Denver Art Museum, on May 3 and June 7. 720-865-5000, www.denverartmuseum.org.
• Denver Center for the Performing Arts, on May 8. The free show is "Three Mo'Divas" at the Stage Theatre-tickets are given out on a first-come, first-served basis at the theatre's box office, starting two hours before the 6:30 p.m. performance, and no reservations are taken. 303-893-4100, www.denvercenter.org.

Later in the year, free days are scheduled for the Denver Zoo and other facilities.
