AUTOMOTIVE—AAA Mobile is a downloadable mobile phone application that allows users to get maps, travel information, audio turn-by-turn directions or roadside assistance at the touch of a button.
What differentiates AAA Mobile from other mobile phone navigation services?
With AAA Mobile, subscribers who are also AAA members can have their GPS-enabled phone send their location to AAA when requesting roadside assistance. Pressing a single button on the phone will send the location to the most appropriate AAA roadside assistance dispatch center. In addition, AAA Mobile subscribers can access information from AAA TourBook guides on their mobile phones—including directions to Diamond-rated hotels and restaurants, AAA Approved Auto Repair facilities, locations that offer savings to AAA members and points of interest.
AAA Mobile can currently be used by select BlackBerry devices on the Sprint network, and select wireless phones on the Sprint, Verizon Wireless and Alltel Wireless networks. AAA is in discussions with other major U.S. and Canadian wireless carriers to offer AAA Mobile on additional networks, phones and devices.
To see a complete list of compatible phones and devices, or to download a free trial, visit www.AAA.com/AAAMobile. The list is continually updated as additional phone models and carriers are added.
