TripTik Travel Planner online

TRAVEL—Here are a few quick tips for using the enhanced features in the latest TripTik Travel Planner, an all-in-one maps, directions, and travel information resource available at www.AAA.com.

Navigation (under the Directions tab):

  • Route modification. Click and drag the highlighted route to the roads you prefer to travel. You'll get updated mileage and distance information, and you can choose to save the change or revert to the original route.
  • More tools. Right-click for more navigation options, such as pan, zoom and road identification.
  • Change your schedule. If you have chosen multiple destinations, you can click and drag anywhere on an itinerary line to modify the order.
  • Zoom. Double-click on a map to zoom in; hold down the Control key and double-click to zoom out. Mouse over the zoom bar to view different zoom levels.
  • Easy return. Use Control+Shift+Home as a shortcut to return to the overview map.

Customize (under the Places tab)

  • Custom maps. Click to add AAA Approved hotels, restaurants and attractions to MyPlaces, then print full-color maps showing just the places you choose.
  • Hotel booking and rates. As you move the pointer over a hotel icon, a bubble opens with clickable choices for information (including Diamond Ratings and photos) or reservations at AAA member rates.
  • Travel Guide. Click on the Travel Guide tab at the top, or the 'i' icon on maps, to get AAA's exclusive travel information—including Editor's Picks for top destinations.
