Saving gas

Myth: Restarting a car's engine uses more gas than letting it idle.

Reality: Since the advent of fuel injection, it takes almost no gas to restart a car. In a situation where you could park the car and come back to it later, turn off the ignition-naturally, for safety reasons, this doesn't apply when stopping at an intersection or temporarily caught in traffic!
